The Ashby Magna Vintage Rally
Formally the Midsummer Vintage Festival, the Ashby Magna Vintage Rally, was founded in 1998 and has been returning to the showground every year since (minus a few). The rally has been going for 25 years, prior to that it was hosted at Highcross, Claybrooke, Leicestershire.
It attracts all ranges of people who wish to visit a more traditional event.
The weekend has all manner of attractions, from tractor displays, vintage & classic cars, lorries, full scale & miniature steam engines, fly fishing, working dogs, re-enactments,
and much more.
Our main arena is the centre piece of the weekend's events, where various displays take place. We have all sorts going on throughout the day, including the invitation steam, which gives the public the chance to steer a full-sized steam engine.
Saturday sees the Auction taking place!
Over the years thousands of items have been bought and sold! Previous years' lots have included Tractors, Vehicles, Engines, Agricultural items and General items. It is a 10.30am start, with viewing on Friday & prior to the start time.
There's plenty to see and do for all ages, including a small fair, trade stalls and our craft tent.
There is an array of food outlets that cater for all food tastes.
And for when you just want to take 5 and relax with a cold refreshing alcoholic drink, pay a visit to our on site fully licenced beer tent for all the family.
But drink responsibly, and please don't drink and drive!
